Our stay at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort
Universal Orlando Hotels recently invited us to stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
It was our very first time staying at a Universal Orlando Hotel and we were seriously impressed!

In this post I am going to share some photos from our stay, and all of the special Universal Orlando perks you receive when you stay at Cabana Bay! Let’s start with the benefits of staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort!
Benefits of Staying at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort:
The first benefit is more of a mental one. Checking into Cabana Bay really feels like you are being transported back in time to a 1950’s-1960’s beach resort.
The style of this place is iconic and the experience is so immersive from the decor to the music.
As far as resort recreation, Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a dream. Cabana Bay offers two resort-style swimming pools, a lazy river and a bowling alley. They also offer a variety of food and beverage options, hello Starbucks in the lobby!
Guests staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort also enjoy exclusive benefits, such as Early Park Admission to Universal Orlando’s theme parks, complimentary on-site transportation and resort wide charging privileges.
Cabana Bay Beach Resort Room Information:
Universal Orlando Hotels hosted us in one of their Family Suites. From our suite we had a lovely view of the pool area, and easy access to both the lobby and the Bayliner Diner (more on that later). Upon entering the hotel room we were kind of blown away with the size and style of this suite. It’s a mid-century modern dream house. I believe my first words were “Can we just live here?” I have a mini room tour saved to my Instagram Highlights here.
The room featured a kitchenette area, a seating area with two chairs and a pullout sofa, a separate room with two queen size beds, a full bathroom and plenty of storage.
These suites are filled with little touches through the colors, and decor that really transports you back in time. The suites at Cabana Bay Beach Resort even have old school toiletries and clocks on the night stand. I think the extra touches here really make this Resort so special!
Grab some food at the Bayliner Diner:
We were also hosted for dinner at the Bayliner Diner. Which is a cafeteria style quick service location. We loved everything we got here, and we felt very well taken care of with our Food Allergy needs. They also have some specialty items like Fro-Yo and S’mores Kits!
Getting to the Parks from Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort:
Getting to the parks is so easy from Cabana Bay Beach Resort. You can actually walk to Universal’s Volcano Bay!
For the other two parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, you take a bus. The bus picks you up near where the photo above was taken, on the side of the Bayliner Diner.
The bus drops you off just an escalator away from the security checkpoint for the parks.
